Antoinette Poisson

Entirely hand-made, with a design informed by heritage restoration, Antoinette Poisson invokes the intimate interior designs of the 18th century with their Domino Papers. The “dominoterie” technique entails first engraving a pattern into the printing block from a metal relief, then painting or stenciling the piece into being. Traditionally, these would be used to cover books, caskets, chests, and cabinets, but today may be used for small spaces or to hang as art prints upon your wall. Made exclusively at their atelier in Paris.

Details

Delicate patterns, soft colors, intimate tones compose a score without ostentation, which calls the expressive feeling of joy and serenity. Allegro ma non troppo, such is the tempo of this dance in the “closerie”, celebrating a certain French lifestyle.

The patterns of this collection were inspired by archives of fabrics from the 18th century.
