Named for France as well as the beautiful, vibrant cit of New Orleans, a heraldric-shaped crest is draped in a fleur de lis sash and flanked in mossy green with florals that we imagine call to mind the heady scent of the South.

About the Wax Seals

Each crest is delicate and ornamented with minute details. The top of the crest is adorned in an elegant feathered crown, while a romantic ribbon sits at its feet. We picture these beautifully unique seals atop lovely wedding invitations, notes to family and friends, or finishing a dramatic piece to an exquisite fête. Crafted from solid brass, each seal is finished with a hand-turned rosewood handle.

Each wax seal sits within a hand illustrated design by Signora e Mare. Its marbled matchbook box opens to reveal the stamp paired with a stick of sealing wax for immediate use.

Saint Signora & Signora e Mare

Founded in 2016, Saint Signora was born from a desire to breathe new life into well-loved pieces and Old World artforms such as calligraphy and wax seal stamps.

Katie Hyatt, the founder and mastermind behind Saint Signora and Signora e Mare, is a self-taught calligrapher, stationer, papermaker, and antiquarian who delights in discovering the perfect timeworn patina, linens which have graced table after table but still hold their elegance in varied wear, a leather box which opens to reveal silk tatters of a once grand life.

Sourcing her pieces from Europe and the Southern United States with an eye toward Old World romanticism, Katie's work has been featured in the likes of Martha Steward Weddings, Wedding Sparrow, Once Wed, Ruffled, and Style Me Pretty to name a few.
